Our approach to Chiropractic health care is based on scientific principles of attaining structural integrity
in our body's joints, spine, and the nervous system it protects.  

The nervous system controls or influences the function of all 11 trillion interconnected cells in our body.  
Interference to the nervous system, caused by a
vertebral subluxation complex (more commonly called
a subluxation), or injury along its path will effect how the nervous system relates to the cells it
influences.

Factors commonly associated with causing this are the three T's: Thoughts that create
stress/anxiety/anger, Trauma due to a single traumatic event or recurrent exposure to physical
stresses, and toxins introduced to the body through our diet and environment.

My objective as a clinician is to thoroughly assess each condition, educate the patients on their unique
findings, recommend and implement a prudent plan of care, or refer to the right professionals when the
condition exceeds the scope of practice.

My goal is to remove the obstacles from the body being able to heal itself.  SMT
(spinal manipulation
therapy), extremity manipulation, therapeutic modalities, and soft tissue techniques are used to
re-establish joint "mobility".  Therapeutic exercise is integrated to provide musculotendon "flexibility"
and "stability" (balanced strength) surrounding the joints.  

Chiropractic care is uniquely affective in treating acute injuries, chronic, and degenerative conditions.  
Combined with exercise and a sound diet, regular care can have a profound impact in attaining and
maintaining
homeostasis or balance of health.      
Golf Fitness & Injury Programming

  • ASSESSMENT AND EXERCISE PRESCRIPTION: Our program is designed to expose physical
    limitations and mechanical faults in your swing that contribute to injury and poor play.  A sport,
    biomechanical, and clinical knowledge base is applied to these findings generating individualized
    programming that creates a body fit for playing your best golf.  Dr. Hoffman is certified through
    the "Titleist Performance Institute" and has underwent extensive studies of the sport's
    mechanics.

  • SWING MECHANICS: In this phase we assess your body’s motion (kinematic sequencing), where
    power is potentially lost, and identify swing faults that create inconsistent ball striking.  
    Sequencing and corrective drills are assigned to develop proper muscle memory through impact.

  • POWER: For players having completed our first two phases of the golf performance program, we
    offer "POWER".  When the swing is grooved and your body is freed up to swing like your pro is
    asking you to, you're ready.  This phase is not for the weekend warrior however.  The
    objectives here will be to improve total conditioning so fatigue no longer plays a role in your
    back nine play, while developing explosiveness in the body that translates into maximum club
    head speed.

  • GOLF INJURY & PREVENTION:  With certification as a golf injury specialist (golfinjurydoctors.com)
    , and over 120 hours post-professional studies at National University of Health Sciences as a
    chiropractic sports clinician, I can confidently diagnose and treat your swing related injuries.  
    We'll identify which phase of the swing it's most likely occurring in, what swing faults are
    contributing to it, and recommend a plan to avoid further exposure to the factors causing or
    exacerbating it.
